40cm Fast Draw Standing BB

About this Rule

This competition rule and its target were created for AIRSOFT SPOTTER, inspired by the WFDA-JAPAN Standing Blanks competition rules. The content of this rule significantly differs from the official WFDA-JAPAN rules. For the official rules, please visit the WFDA-JAPAN - Rule.

WFDA-JAPAN Fast Draw Standing Blank keeps the core: holstered start, draw on the signal, and score is the elapsed time to the first hit. In Japan, events commonly use domestically compliant model guns (e.g., cap-firing) under local regulations, and some procedures are tailored accordingly.

Stage Procedures and Range Commands

  1. Start Position

Start hand-at-side, both hands may be near but not touching the gun. Note that this is different from 5ft Fast Draw Standing BB.

In case of "Cocked Fast Draw", the safety of the handgun may not be applied or, on a revolver, the hammer may be cocked.

  2. Range Commands

    • "Shooter On The Line": The shooter must face downrange and prepare their firearm.

    • "Shooter Set": The shooter must then assume the required start position. This command should be followed by the start signal within 2 to 5 seconds.

    • "Start Signal": The app screen flashes as the start signal, the shooter begins their attempt at the course of fire.

Scoring

The shooting time from the start signal until the target is hit will be your score. It does not matter where you hit within the circle. The lower the score, the better.

With best five of seven counting, tactics matter—attack early or bank safe runs first. Note that this is different from 5ft Fast Draw Standing BB.

Maximum Time

The maximum time allowed for an individual shot is 1 second. If a shot misses, it is counted as "no time" (1 second).

Handling of Excessive Shots

In this competition, you have only one shot per attempt. If multiple hits are made, the shot is counted as "no time" (1 second).

Handling of Early or Late Shots

The maximum time of 1 second will be counted as the score.
