About this Rule

This competition rule and its target were created for AIRSOFT SPOTTER, inspired by the the ISSF 10 meter air pistol competition rules. The content of this rule significantly differs from the official ISSF rules. For the official ISSF 10 meter air pistol competition rules, please visit the ISSF official page.

The ISSF 10 meter air pistol competition is a precision shooting event internationally recognized and conducted according to the rules set by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). It is featured in major international competitions, including the Olympics and World Cups.

Equipment

Handgun, including revolvers.

  • Sights: Iron (open) sights only.

Positions

Standing, gun held in one hand only. Use of artificial support is prohibited.

Target

Air Pistol Target.

  • X ring in the center
  • 10 rings from 10 points to 1 point. The score is represented in units of 0.1 points, and the highest score is 10.9 points
Pro Catch Target

Courses of Fire

5 shots in 250 seconds. 2 series.

Commands, Control, and Operations

  1. Pistols Unloaded

    Pistols must not be loaded until the command "LOAD" has been given.

  2. Firing Procedures and Commands

    When ready to start, you will receive a command like "For the first competition series. LOAD." At this point, load your pistol.

    Then the commands "READY" and "START" will be given. After the "START" command, you can point the gun toward the target and start shooting.

    The "UNLOAD" command is given at the end of the time limit for each string. FIRING MUST CEASE IMMEDIATELY. Unload the pistol.
